Week Y

Yeah, I still don't know which week I'm on. That's ok - I'll just write when I've reached another goal or two. Annnnddd....I did. :) It's actually several goals. I got a Utah driver's license (100% on the test, baby!), I registered to vote (I was sick today, but it was the last day to register, so I went down to the county clerk's office anyway - man, you wouldn't believe how many people were there to register today - all of 'em slackers like me), and I finally replaced my wallet.

Now, you girls don't understand how important a guy's wallet is. We have those things for years and years. I had mine for more than 8 years. My parents bought it for me when they were in Turkey, and it's been my faithful companion for a long time. I even sewed it up in places to keep it going. But I finally gave in and bought a new one. But let me tell you, I love it. It is big, but it's flat. I hardly even feel it in my pocket, because everything is more spread out. I took the advice of my co-worker Mike, and I'm glad I did. I don't think I'll go back.

And I'm still on track with some of my other goals - I read a book. :) I'm due to travel to not one, but 4 or 5 new states in the next few weeks (work trips). Yay!

And now, until a new goal in accomplished...next time, Gadget. Next time.

Week X

Yeah, I haven't been very good at writing in this thing every week. I think because there's been so little progress, that I didn't want to check in with you all. Most especially because I have some monthly / weekly / daily goals I've already failed. I guess I can start from now to try and do them, right? Oh well. There is a little bit to report, though.

I've been saving 35% of my income - yay! And I signed up for medical/dental insurance, although it won't kick in for a little while. Dang. I've given blood once (I've only been eligible once since starting), and I have several of my goals on my list for the very near future (like registering to vote and getting a driver's license).

But I have bought furniture and started decorating my apartment. That's exciting, and I love the new feel to my place. Sorry this is boring - I'll be mroe exciting next time, and have more to report!
